In December, 1994 Myles Davis founded Myles Davis Electric in Napa, California.  This electrical service company was started as a Sole Proprietorship.

Myles Davis fulfilled his apprenticeship program with Queen of the Valley Hospital in 1987.  Myles was approached by Dick Jones Construction in 1987, to handle the electrical needs of high end remodels in the Los Angeles area.  Three years were spent working with Dick Jones Construction, before the draw of Northern California brought Myles and his family back to Napa.  By this point it is 1991 and Myles is heavily involved in learning the ins and outs of “service electrical work” with a company out of Riverside, California.  Within four months, Myles was supervising twenty electrical technicians for the “Bay Area” region.  Three years later, Myles is president of his own company, affiliated with the Riverside, California parent company.

It is December 1994, management style and control of direction of his company is being strained by the corporate management group.  The decision has been made to dissolve the company and Myles is to go out and start his own company.  With his knowledge and expertise with “service electrical work”, Myles Davis Electric was born.  With his expertise in dealing with clients and electrical technicians, he was in need of someone to take control of the business operations.  Myles approached his brother Michael and offered him an opportunity to go into business with him to flourish in this new endeavor.  It didn’t take much convincing to bring Michael on board. In January, 1997 the mutual decision was made to incorporate the company and limit the personal liability, based on going from a $250,000 sales in 1995 to $865,000 sales in 1997.

From 1997 to the present, the company has accelerated growth by expanding into the high end remodels and limited new construction, commercial, residential and industrial.  In the northbay region of the Bay Area, we have ranked in the top twenty five positions for sales for electrical contractors.

A key ingredient to the company’s success is the ability to satisfy the needs of the customer.  Everyone in the organization is flexible in keeping the customer satisfied.  It is the satisfied customer, who repeatedly keeps coming back to Myles Davis Electric Inc. that creates a major part of our growth.
